The Grievance Process

A grievance is when there is a violation in the application, administration or interpretation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The process of filing a grievance, involves first bringing the complaint up with your direct Supervisor within 10 days of the violation. If the complaint is not settled through the Supervisors answer, the Union may file a grievance and incite the process outlined in Article 8 of the CBA.

If you feel that there is a violation of the collective agreement, or would like to learn more about the process, please reach out to the Local 5393 Stewards or Executive.
